Review:

Jim Clark

Good from top to bottom. This is the assured, confident, and strong Cisco, belting out the traditional songs, laughing in his original, "Great July Jones," and gentle in "The Killers." Not a bad cut, this LP makes up a chunk of the Best of the Folkways Years CD with good reason. We move from sad to cheerful, uptempo to languid, gloomy to lively with a perfect touch. Sounds like the way Cisco would have sung them at a coffee house or in the Merchant Marine.
